Manali Desai is Chief Sustainability Officer, PepsiCo – Africa, Middle East and South Asia. Manali is responsible for leading the pep+ sustainability agenda for AMESA and driving end-to-end transformation across the organization. Manali brings a wealth of 17+ years of experience in Strategy and Supply Chain from her career in Strategy, Transformations and Supply Chain Operations.

Manali joined PepsiCo in 2017 as Director of Productivity in Supply Chain, where she led the Productivity and Performance agenda and delivered strong results through holistic cost management initiatives. As Senior Director Strategy, Manali led several growth strategy priorities for AMESA to deliver upon the double digit growth across markets and provided strategic support for AMESA’s new frontier markets. In the Strategy team Manali worked on key priorities such as Leading the Digital Transformation for AMESA and Post Integration of Pioneer foods in South Africa.

Prior to PepsiCo, Manali was at McKinsey and Company and led Consumer Goods and Pharma clients through transformations, strategy projects and organizational change programs across North America, Asia and Middle East. Manali has a B.E. Mechanical from COEP, India, an MS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and is based in Dubai, UAE.
